LINKEDIN // GAMES

Take a beat, with games on LinkedIn.

Burnout is on the rise among the global workforce. In fact, 50% of workers don’t actually take a break during the workday. But even a short break can improve productivity by 13%. In other words, you’re better at work when you make time for play. So, to help it’s members refresh and reset every day, LinkedIn launched games on the platform, for the first time ever. And on the day they went live, so did our film, encouraging people to take a beat with games on LinkedIn.

We partnered with our director and a sound designer to build a narrative around diegetic sounds, transforming the overload of workday pings, clicks, and rings with a simple game break. It was a message that resonated with many of our members - burnout and productivity breaks became a widely discussed topic among members and news sites, as our games brought people by the droves to the platform. And our infamous dancing sloth became a cultural icon, synonymous with adding some play to the workday.
